Oil Candle

Spilled or inedible olive oil can be used as a oil candle.

Pour the inedible olive oil in a plate. Tear one piece of  cotton and steeple it like a top of a candle. Put the lower ned of the cotton in to the olive oil and make it stand so that the tip stands out. Keep from touching the tip directly with olive oil. Once you light it up, it shines it’e gentle and quiet light until all the olive oil is gone.

In Greece, candles are very common in everyday life. Especially Pascha, 4th April this year, there are candles and olive oil candles illuminating every church and house. The Orthodox people light a candle front of the icon of St, Maria and Jesus Christ, it’s faint light shinning the blessing of the Resurrection.
