Gefyra (Γέφυρα) is the Greek word for "bridge". A bridge is a construct used to connect two places originally separated by some topographical obstacle, like a gorge, a river or the sea. What is most important about the bridge is not the construct itself,it is human's urge to overpass existing obstacles and come in touch with the other side.

Our aim is to bring in communication the creative elements of Greece and Japan.Gefyra is a host to various projects whose common ground is that they seek to overcome the various lingual, cultural, political hinderances and fasciliate the communication between Greece and Japan, and more broadly Asia and Europe, East and West.
